Writer’s Workshop

5 Weeks Taught Creative Writing Workshops

  • Group teaching, space and time to write with one to one support as required.
  •  Led by Cheri Hunston. MA.   A professional writer and illustrator with seventeen years’ experience of teaching creative writing.
  • All you need is an interest in writing.

It is said everyone has a book in them… have you? Perhaps you just enjoying writing or would like to learn how to?

Come and join us in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Meet others who enjoy writing, make new friends and get support. Make that time commitment to write what you’ve always wanted to but never had the time, know-how, or discipline to do!

We will be covering all aspects of writing such as: genre (what type of writing do you want to do? fiction, non-fiction, memoir, children’s writing, short stories), audience (who is it aimed at), form (how should you lay it out?), purpose (what is the aim of the writing?), narrative voice, punctuation, grammar, character, plot, dialogue, description, vocabulary, plus how to critique and even how to get published!

There will be a taught aspect to every workshop followed by an application of what has been taught and then you will be given time to work on your own writing and given helpful hints and support throughout.

First class begins  Weds 23rd May 2012 7pm-9pm at Art Frame Solutions.  £20 per person per session.

£50 deposit on the first evening to secure your place for the entire course. Then pay remainder weekly. Cheques, cash and cards accepted.
